About

The Brunswick Prison Camp Map Printers was first published in 2016, and is not due for launch and sale until Spring 2017. It is a limited edition print run of 150 numbered letterpress copies with the type now broken down, with a further 250 initial run of a digitally produced facsimile .

The text was hand set by Ken Burnley at Juniper Press, The Bluecoat, Liverpool in 12 point Monotype Bembo, 2 point leaded, which was cast by George Miller in Oswestry, Shropshire. The display type is Stephenson Blake Gill Medium.

The book was printed on a Vandercook No.4 Western press at Silver Birch Press, Irby, Wirral, and on an 1864 Albion hand-press at Juniper Press.

The illustrations were printed digitally by LT Print, Wirral.

The paper used is Colorplan Natural 135gsm donated by G.F. Smith.

There will be digitally reproduced colour facsimiles of all four of the original maps produced as inserts presented folded in a pocket of the binding in the inner back cover.

Both Ken Burnley of Juniper Press and Mark Radcliffe-Evans would like to thank the kindness, goodwill and generosity of both individuals and businesses and organisations who have all made this project possible.
